Ninth Week of School! - Blog #12

Before
A friends dad drove us to school and bought us McDonald's Cinnabuns

Science
We are doing an experiment with balloons and pennies, and the balloons kept popping in peoples faces and I couldn't stop laughing!

Math
I am nominating one of my teachers for the Silver Apple Award, which (aside from a trophy) will give them $500 to spend on classroom stuff Link
This is a kid snippet because one kid thinks 4*6 is 36, and doesn't seem to know how to add 5 to 24 Link

Lunch
I am so alone...watching, thinking...

Honors Language Arts
I am sad, I had to criticize a friend's paragraph and it was bad, and I'm worried they won't be happy with me (I'm over dramatizing, aren't I? Plus, if one paragraph made the mmad at me, then they probably aren't really my friend)
By the way, I keep genders and names secret for two reasons; one, to hopefully minimize teasing; two, for their privacy

Book Club
i want to do this, but I have to choose between this and Video Club

Science
Why are these two kids such big cheaters? They take my paper and copy and I can't get them to cut it out
Now they're taking my pencil to use the eraser! (I'm writing this with another pencil)
NOOO! Our seats changed and I'm sitting with one of them!

Math
Teacher is assigning seats
I got put with a troublemaker, but at least I'm up front
One kid got in the teacher's chair, and the teacher slowly wrote the kids name, so the kid jumped up, and flew over the desk, and rolled down the aisle into his desk and sat down
It was so funny!

Oral Expression
'sigh' I'm the only one (literally, I counted) who doesn't have a phone/device
I have homework in an elective?!?

Honors Language Arts
One kid read a girl part with a voice to match, and said he was 'reaching his inner woman'

Science
We have to make a timeline of Issac Newton with pictures and I suck at drawing
ARGH!

Computer
Our final is upon us! We have to tell a story with 9 slides using the tools that we have been learning

Social Studies

Science
i got called to the library because I'm the best reader on my team! (not sports, class team)

Math
I hate being near troublemakers because then I often share the punishment (not being able to leave until last)

Computers
Something I've realized is that just saying a couple words to someone or just being around them, you'll eventually become friends, at least to a certain extent

Honors Language Arts
We are the best debate team as in it's fun to be together, but we don't really do much

Social Studies
Yeah! Our teacher had to leave and our sub is my awesome computers teacher!

Eighth Week of School! - Blog #10

Happy National Literacy Day!
These activities are awesome, because we are writing paragraphs about our favorite books

People think I'm weird for coming to school because it was optional

Honors Language Arts
I am considering becoming a Student Aid, but I would have to give Art or Lead the Way
We went speed dating (which, when I learned the concept, think is stupid)(with books)

What is with all this biker clothing? And what is Grease? Link I'm not writing anything fast enough!!!

Math
Book Club starts next Tuesday
Why do none of these kids have any discipline?
now we're talking about 9/11, and the teacher almost slipped about her age
Oh, this is fun

Oral Expression
We have started the bulling unit
So many bad memories...
OK, so we watched a video saying all the different ways that bullies use to bully, and some of these stories are just plain sad
I am being bullied in three different ways (bulling does not always happen on purpose, by the way)
1. Verbal (name-calling)
Example: nerd, teacher's pet, perfect pest (That's because I don't get in trouble and refuse to accept dares that would get me in trouble
2. Exclusion (being left out)
Example: Social Studies, no one sits with me
3. Mimicking
People mimic me because I talk more then my friend does : (

Lunch
Tickets are now available for the dance
But Mom and Dad say I can't go

Honors Language Arts
There is one kid who, even when he is in trouble, still makes everyone laugh while not getting in more trouble

Social Studies
There is going to be a school rules convention
We will pick one delegate from each class to discuss school rules like; eating gum, dress code, phone use, etc.
I hope I'm chosen!
Everyone has four chances, unless they are just counting Social Studies classes, which means everyone has one chance

9/11/14----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bus
Success! Mystery Girl (and no, I know some of you asked my Mom, but I'm not saying her name until the time comes) ; ) nervously walked up to me and asked to sit with me. Of course I said yes.

Math
The announcement about 9/11 is pretty heartbreaking, yet inspirational
Also, the person who talked about it is actually a survivor of it, they were in the tower when it was hit

Computers
Yes! I have finished all 20 lessons! (by fall break I only needed to do ten)

Lunch
I ate lunch during Math (we are allowed to eat in there, as well as in Computers) so I helped my teachers roll coins
It was really fun
I also, brought up the point that I was the only boy there, and said I was use to that, and then my math teacher called me a 'ladies man', whatever that means
Probably something related to being able to get the ladies ; )

Honors Language Arts
This bell work is offensive, because it is 'where does this comma go?' too easy
So...much...homework...

I think I did well enough on the quiz, and that it will help my grade go back to an A

Seventh Week of School! - Blog #9

No Video Club meeting. Oops

Science
I really don't like the guy next to me *He was lazy and kept complaining about how he had no room on the end*
Yes!, we're changing seats!
Science Fair stuff has begun!

Math
Students now give announcements
The teacher must really like me. She is letting me correct my corrections! And she has always been EXTREMELY friendly

Honors Language Arts
Debates were AWESOME!!!
*Quick recap: we regrouped real quick, then started our arguments. After three of us had talked, their cross-examiner questioned us poorly, and then our last arguer argued, then their rebutter said some things, and then the other team started. They were doing really well, and our cross-examiner was pretty good. Then their last arguer argued, and I thought it was over. But then our rebutter just wrecked shop. He was the one who saved us from losing, because he was just FANTASTIC. (This all took place over a 30 minutes time period.)*

Video Club
If I had not come today, I would have been kicked out for being inconsistent, and so the audition video was not actually needed! So I'm in! And I need to come every Tuesday and Thursday, but I can help even more if I come other days

Science
Some of the kids asked about my notes, and thought it was crazy (in a cool way, I think) that I blog. They asked me a ton of questions, like why would someone write more then told to
Then Mystery Girl started saying how she has trouble with tech stuff (aside from her phone) and said she could use help ; ) then looked away when I said I could help ; (

Math
Why do we have so many fundraisers?!? and I can't ever help because I don't have money
So many notes today

Computers
We are two days ahead of the other classes
I know how to mod any iOS device (Jailbreak)

Honors Language Arts
The debates were awesome and a lot of good points were brought up (The other teams)

Social Studies
Why are kids so lazy? They always choose menu option 12 *for CNN Student News we have 24 options of what to write about and I'm the only one who doesn't choose option 12,Graffiti Notes, where we draw pictures, and when I don't choose that people are like 'Come on!'*

We got some good videos and interviewed some teachers

Math
The teacher won't tell us her age

Oral Expression
Why do we have a final today?!? We're not even half way through the semester!
Final is four super easy questions and the fifth is... a five paragraph essay! : (

Lunch
Forgot to pack a sandwich

Honors Language Arts
There are like 20 people on the 'Name of Shame'
I cannot express how much I am loving public school
I like Justice Brennan, because he always seems to be on the same side as I am in an argument (court cases) Link

Science
We played bingo because it's my teachers birthday
I won and got some candy

Math
We talked about the teacher's dogs (and about how they don't have rabies but need a rabies shots)
We have the best conversations in here

Social Studies
My notes seem to be slowly decreasing. Maybe that is because it is mostly the same thing more and more everyday. Noooooooo...
At Bosa Doughnuts if you buy four doughnuts you get twelve free, but only until the 11th
Also, next week is Spirit Week, I'll try to get pictures of my clothing if I even have the clothing needed for the day
We finally got the teacher to laugh!
