Fifteenth Week of School And Summary - Blog #26

NOTE: For summary of the past few weeks, see bottom of this post.

Like always, anything that has a link (video, song, website) will be in the post. I also put asterisk notes for clarification. Here you go.

My schedule: Science, Math, Oral Expression (Day 1), Computers (Day 2), Honors Language Arts, Social Studies.

11/12/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sick

11/13/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
Catching up from a missing day isn't as hard as I thought it would be
It's cool that I keep getting to help the people in my row because I'm the only one familiar with the Microsoft Office tools

Math
My teacher was impressed because I printed off my homework at home and did it
two kids are throwing pencil pieces and spitballs at each other, and I'm caught in the crossfire!
One of the kids tried to blame it on me, but my teacher doesn't believe them
Yay for trust!

Lunch
In the bathroom some kids started swearing about the custodians not fixing one toilet, and his friend says "Aren't you Mormon?" And the other kid says, "Yeah, so? Doesn't matter."
Isn't that just sad? Why? Just why.

FUN FACT #3: Alligators can run up to 20 mph!

FUN FACT #4: Worldwide, consumers spend more than $7 billion a year on chocolate (which is why we are running out)

FUN FACT #5: A Saguero cactus can live up to 300 years

FUN FACT #6: The fastest speed of falling raindrop can hate you is 18 mph
(That's gotta hurt!)

SUMMARY:
Had a cold, got a bad cough for two weeks, then contracted Bronchitis. I got an inhaler for a week or so (still have it but I'm cured now) and had finals. (Grades below) First in Oral Expression, where I did a short play with a friend (we did really well, high As) and then in Computers I had a typing test, which I also did well on. Then I had my Science Fair, which I did extremely well on. Then I became Student of the Week. And then I had my Science and Math finals. My teachers are awesome, by the way. Now I'm on break for two and a half weeks (two now) and relaxing everyday. And there was an Alex Boye fireside, which was fun. I got a cool watch for St. Nick's birthday, and I'll be going to a new high school next fall, where I will be in the first graduating class of each grade, because it starts with 7-9 and adds a new grade each year. And I was chosen out of 8 million people to be 1 of a 1000 the beta test a game made by one of my favorite YouTubers called Fortress Fallout. Expect a review soon. That combined with getting new friends, being a Teacher, having girl problems (I'll regret that), my life is crazy.

GRADES:
Chemistry Final: 91.667%
Pre-Algebra Final: 82.5%
Duo Scene Performance: 95%
Typing Test: 100%
Language Arts and Social Studies had no final

FINAL GRADES:
Science:                        A, 92.02%
Pre-Algebra:                  B, 89.23%
Oral Expressions:          A, 99.09%
Computers:                   A, 105.33%
Honors Language Arts: A, 93.76%
Social Studies:              A, 91.05%

WATCH PICTURE:

And that was this week! I don't know how much blogging there will be during break, but see you next time!

Fourteenth Week of School! - Blog #25

Like always, anything that has a link (video, song, website) will be in the post. I also put asterisk notes for clarification. Here you go.

My schedule: Science, Math, Oral Expression (Day 1), Computers (Day 2), Honors Language Arts, Social Studies.

11/3/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Math
I got a 90% on the test, and with test corrections, I can get up to a 95% (because she only give you half the points, even if you get everything fixed quickly)

Honors Language Arts
I got to use my teacher's keys! So in my mind, I was a teacher for all of two minutes!

11/4/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
FUN FACT #2: There are more than 40,000 species of spiders worldwide!
That's for you dad! :-)
There is a kid at my new table who used to be mean to me, but now that he is not, he's actually pretty funny

Math
Our class met our average quiz goal (81%) so we get to sit where we want
NOT!
I wanted to stay in my front seat, and even though the teacher said ' Fill out the front first', everyone except for me didn't, so I got moved to the back
And with the random kid! (He says things so far off topic, you can't see the topic, if you know what I mean)
No one else seems to be understanding moving decimals
Come on people! This is eighth-grade!

Social Studies
I got spitballed

11/5/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oral Expressions
I am one of the like five king/queen of pantomiming!

Honors Language Art
I took things so far today and...I kind a lost one of three participation points for causing trouble
I was the last one in class (I think) to not have my name on the board (essentially, last want to get in trouble)
I thought I wouldn't ever get in trouble...
;-(

And that was this week! See you next time!

My schedule: Science, Math, Oral Expression (Day 1), Computers (Day 2), Honors Language Arts, Social Studies.

10/27/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
I don't know why all the kids watch R horror like Annabelle and the Purge and be like 'eh, it wasn't scary'
The only movie that I hear is the scariest is… The Ring (I can't believe you Dad)

Links: Annabelle Purge The Ring (Honestly, I don't know why I'm putting those there, but I think it is because I said I would put any links)

10/28/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Book Club
I'm the only boy here, so I pretty much get outvoted on everything. Whyyyyyy?!?

Science
Again, outvoted unless I'm the only one who knows something for sure.
Story of my life. 'Sigh' Link (Unintentional pun)

10/29/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
At the end of the week I'm going to start having a random fact of the week
Tell me if I should keep doing it!
FUN FACT #1: The first product with the barcode was Wrigley's gum!

10/30/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
Dang, like all of my notes are for science this week
The teacher showed us a cool program called PhET Link
It is a science simulator
One matches my science fair project perfectly

Math
Yeah! People are finally having full conversations with me!!! : )
(By the way, I finally figured out how to do smiley faces with noses, and I'll be doing that from now on)

We have started reading Animal Farm

10/31/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's Halloween!
The three most popular superheroes or Batman, Superman, and Captain America

Math
My teachers dressed up as Batman, which is funny because she is a girl

Computers
I found three websites that have games on them with the word math or class in the URL and that lets you through the security block the school has on the Internet

Social Studies
We have a sub today who everyone says is mean and they call a 'bulldog' because  of how she looks
Why do you have to be so rude? (Mom,
I tried to phrase that so that it wasn't like the song) (Just for you) :-) Link

And that was this week! See you next time!

Peter's Birthday! - Blog #23

Peter is now 9 years old! Next year and he hits double digits!!! Also, his birthday is on the 23, which is funny because this is my 23 blog post. : ) I totally did that on purpose. Either way, here is his day:

You can see the fire in his eyes...

Fire...
Either way not much I know, but still, fire... : ) Alright, see you next time!

Twelfth Week of School! - Blog #22

Like always, anything that has a link (video, song, website) will be in the post. I also put asterisk notes for clarification. Here you go.

My schedule: Science, Math, Oral Expression (Day 1), Computers (Day 2), Honors Language Arts, Social Studies.

10/20/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
If you take one oxygen particle out of CO2 (carbon dioxide) it will become a substance deadly humans
I don't feel safe breathing now!

Oral Expression
We had more fun with skits
My social studies teacher came to judge our skits
Oh now we're learning how to pantomime

Lunch
Some guy who is sitting at the table by me said the stupidest thing
He was like 'hey you do you want to get some crack?'
'No'
'How about some weed?'
'No'
'Ok, but if you ever want some drugs just talk to me, okay?'
'Whatever'
I men really. Why does he think I won't report him?
Plus, next week the school is wearing red to promote that we are a drug free school. Ha!

Honors Language Arts
We sang happy birthday to the teacher! She is so much fun

10/21/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
We are in a different room for science and social studies because of the ACTs

Social Studies
The career part of the ACTs was really easy because you just answer if you like something or not

10/22/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before
Student of the Quarter breakfast! I get a shirt, certificate, and a recognition speech from my teachers
It was cool

Science
I had to write some paragraphs for science, and when I go to class, the instructions said to not write them about my experiment, which is exactly what I did
So I had to rewrite four paragraphs in a super small amount of time, but I got it done because I'm awesome

Oral Expression
We did more pantomimes
Now we get to make our own to show the class
Yeah! My teacher says I'm an advanced pantomimer!

Computers
I just learned that Google has a bunch of fun little easter eggs Link

10/24/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Math
I was the only one who helps the sub, like always
This song always says these jokes, and they are REALLY bad
Cringefest 2014

Honors Language Arts
Why is everyone having trouble learning MLA?

And that was this week! See you next time!

Eleventh Week of School! - Blog #20

I know that it is just three days, but that doesn't mean I'll forget my duty to write notes! Also, quick note. I am loving being a teacher. It is fun to prepare the sacrament and still be able to pass. I also like my new leaders a lot. They're fun and don't ridicule my love for video games. So yeah.

Like always, anything that has a link (video, song, website) will be in the post. I also put asterisk notes for clarification. Here you go.

My schedule: Science, Math, Oral Expression (Day 1), Computers (Day 2), Honors Language Arts, Social Studies.

10/15/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
These pre-tests *For chemistry* are really hard
My table is 3v1 in favor of girls

Math
We are diving right back into this
My group just talks about sports and I'm the only one getting anything done. 'Sigh'

Honors Language Arts
It is so much fun talking to this teacher
Actually, it is fun to talk to all my teachers, and it feels like I'm friends with them, which is kind of weird

10/16/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Science
And now begins my first Science Fair Project

Oral Expression
We all did some funny skits with a lot of death and it was so FUNNY!

Lunch
I have learned that I am very unobservant when reading

10/17/14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is kind of sad that I never went through elementary school because a friend from church brought a grade book from their elementary years and I saw a lot of my friends who looked so funny compared to how they look now, and I will never have that : (

And that was this week! Next week I will be taking the ACT Explore tests which I think will be cool. Link See you next time!
